DAY 11 Today marks day 11 in the Jamia big birthday countdown, and we’ll be remembering Jamia’s special moment at the Oscars!

Did you know that at age 11 Jamia broke records, becoming the youngest African American to EVER perform at the Academy Awards?! Yup, before Jamia, singer Aaliyah was the youngest and she performed at the age of 17. Jamia’s performance wowed the audience as she sang “Raise It Up” from the film August Rush along with the IMPACT REPERTORY THEATRE. That was a great occasion for her and her family! Take a look at them on the Oscars’ stage doing their thing below. This is one of my favorite Jamia performances. DAY 12 Today marks 12 days before Jamia turns the lucky 13 and do you know what this means?! She will finally be able to watch those PG-13 movies! Yes on August 21st she’s officially going to be a TEENAGER, can you believe it?!
